Eastern Shore

A very quick trip from Washington D.C. is this idyllic land called the Eastern Shore. It is beautifully quaint, perfect for walking.  You remember I told you about a wonderful blog reader who was willing to share her house with us when we were visiting our newest grandson?  And you might remember that I was totally nuts and still am about the scones that were on the dining table waiting for me to devour?

When we stepped into her back garden, it just begged to be enjoyed with a good glass of wine and some fruit and cheese.  Opening the fridge we found a fairy godmother had left precisely that beautifully arranged.

Later on our walk around town we had to stop and eat a piece of pecan pie while we people watched.

Wow, Terri……you surprised me on this one….just tuned in and found it. Love your photo’s!!! I’m so glad that “idea” worked out….and of course, you already know that the food offerings are courtesy of my “Rental agent” and great sister, Melinda. You even gave Eve’s Cheese a plug….our friends the Nunns/Masons will be appreciative. I’ve had a bit of harrowing day…..this was nice to come home to.

This isnt my first visit to Pink Peppers, but my first comment. I am Shari’s daughter….and absolutely love the pictures. It is great to see people enjoy Mom and Dad’s little piece of paradise. Chestertown has always been and always will be my favorite place in this world!!!

  • Beth, I just could not do justice to the movie set look of this incredibly quaint and at the same time majestic town. Your parents’ house is so comfortable and idyllic that it was hard to shut the door and leave.

Shari and I are related in a round about way. Beth Carlton (Shari’s daughter) is my daughter in law, but Shari and I were friends long before we became family related and share Grandchildren. When we visit Shari, we are always anticipating just what we will find waiting to whet our palates, and see the latest decorating craze. Shari is so hospitable and fun. Just seeing the pictures reminds me that it is time for another visit to the Eastern Shore. Love Pinkpeppers. I will surely visit again. Thanks for sharing.
